Horses—especially Mustangs—are often overlooked, undervalued, and misunderstood. But those of us who work with them know the truth: they change lives.
This research will help us show exactly how horses help us.

Your responses will contribute to data that:
- Supports evidence-based programs that pair horses with people who need them
- Documents the mental health benefits of working with horses
- Advocates for Mustang protection and responsible stewardship
- Advances understanding of the human-horse connection
Who Should Participate
Anyone who has worked with, owned, or spent time with Mustangs or domestic horses in any capacity:
✓ Horse owners
✓ Riders and trainers
✓ Equine therapy participants
✓ Volunteers at sanctuaries or rescues
✓ Anyone who has built a relationship with a horse.
What to Expect
Time: Approximately 10 minutes
You’ll be asked about:
- Your experience with horses (Mustangs or domestic)
- Your current well-being and resilience
- How working with horses has or has not changed you
- Your personal story in your own words
